Zlatan Dzinic

I’m a technology executive focused on helping organizations modernize at global scale, combining AI/ML, cloud-native architectures, platform engineering, and resilient distributed systems to accelerate innovation and business transformation.

Currently, I serve as Worldwide Tech Lead for Modernization at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where I help define and drive modernization strategy across AWS customers, partners, and global field organizations. My work spans application modernization, infrastructure transformation, developer productivity, platform engineering, AI-enabled modernization, and large-scale cloud adoption.

I work closely with CTOs, Chief Architects, engineering executives, and enterprise leadership teams to shape modernization roadmaps, accelerate transformation initiatives, and build scalable technical strategies that improve developer velocity, resilience, operational excellence, and long-term agility.

Earlier at Amazon, I led initiatives across Alexa AI, large-scale experimentation platforms, and Amazon Studios. Within Alexa, I worked with the central ML and NLU science organization supporting interpretation models used globally, and later helped build distributed experimentation and research platforms that accelerated large-scale AI and ML innovation across research and applied science teams.

I later served as Head of Architecture & Engineering for Amazon Studios, leading engineering, science, and data organizations building next-generation cinematic technology across pre-production, production, and post-production workflows. I also contributed to technical strategy efforts surrounding Amazon’s MGM Studios acquisition.

Before Amazon, I held multiple engineering and technology leadership roles across Microsoft ecosystems, enterprise platforms, and large-scale distributed systems initiatives spanning multiple industries and regions globally.

Beyond my corporate roles, I’m deeply passionate about community building, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, speaking at industry events, collaborating across global technology communities, and helping organizations adopt modern engineering and AI practices responsibly and at scale.
