The Big Glass Hall – named after the River Sava
The Sava River is the largest river in Bosnia and Herzegovina, forming the natural northern border with Croatia and stretching 331 km through the country. It flows from Slovenia, through Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, before joining the Danube in Serbia.
The region it passes through is known as Posavina, a historically and geographically important area. Navigable and ecologically vital, the Sava’s floodplains and wetlands support a rich variety of plant and animal life and play a key role in natural flood control. It is also crucial for regional transportation, biodiversity, and local economies.
